25th Anniversary Celebrations

This year the Foundation Old Scholars' Association will be celebrating their 25th year in existence. The Foundation Old Scholars' Association was formed from the merger of the Old Girls Association and the Old Boys Association at a General Meeting in February of 1979. When elections were held that year Mr. Lewin Jones was elected as President and is widely regarded as the father of the association.

To mark the 25 anniversary this year FOSA will be having a Scavenger Hunt on Sunday July 18th. The hunt will begin at the Foundation School and terminate on Sandy Beach. For those who do not know, a scavenger hunt is a game similar to a treasure hunt. Rather than working separately, persons work in groups and look for items given to them on a list at the start of the hunt. The winner of the hunt is the group that has accumulated all of the items listed.

On Wednesday 21st we will be having a Panel Discussion on 25 years of Co-Education in the Liberal Arts Auditorium at the Barbados Community College. The Panelist for the discussion will be Robert Morris, Mrs. June Alleyne and Evelyn Branker. The moderator is Win Callender. Refreshments will be available after the discussion.

The Grand Finale of the celebrations will be the Grand Reunion dubbed FOSAMania which begins at 7:30 PM. There will be a photo village for those who would like to take their pictures with the uniformed headless student. There will also be year group photos and lots of food, back in time pictures and nuff nuff old friends.
