Placement of students
Students entering first form are placed in one of the six forms. 1a1, 1a2, 1a3, 1 Alpha 1, 1 Alpha 2, or 1 Alpha 3. Students who are successful at the end of the year are promoted to the corresponding 2nd form e.g. 2 Alpha 1 or 2a3, etc. At the end of 2nd form, students are asked to select the subjects they would like to continue studying when they reach 3rd form. The subjects selected determine what 3rd form class the student will go into. During the third year students will be allowed to select subjects once more as they prepare for 4th form. Successful students are then promoted to the 4th form of their choice, based on availability. 4 Science 1, 4 Science 2, 4 Science 3, 4 General 1, 4 General 2, 4 General 3, 4 General 4 or 4 Business.
