As the book of life is opened

For our eager eyes to read

Opportunities for service

Daily come to those who heed

Help that we may give to others

Selfish thoughts we must disown

Let us work and play together

For the school that is our own.

Built on a sure foundation

Of knowledge, truth and right

Our tower shall still rise heavenward

To ideals burning bright

Though stormy strife assail her

And waves swirl at her base

Unshaken, she'll not totter

When fierce tides round her race

Not for oneself, but for all

May we evermore recall

Whether good or ill befall

Oft the boy seeks her portals untaught, uncaring

With no thought that the future

May full of trials be

He knows but how his masters

E'arr guide by work and book

While watching o'er his conduct

By stringent word and look

Here the quiet ordered hours

Bring the joy of work's reward

Here we find the early precepts

That our memories record

Here we learn that true endeavour

Comes through unity alone

As we work and play together

For the school that is our own

But when the time approaches

That he must leave her shade

A youth whose path encroaches

On manhood's forest glade

Where danger hidden waits him

To crush, or tear, or bind

Then grateful he looks backward

To those school days behind

In the life that lies before us

When our school days are no more

let us never be forgetful

Of the things that must endure

Knowledge gained and vision widened

Friendships formed and laughter known

When we worked and played together

For the school that was our own

And when there swells within him

The strength of manly pride

The confidence that masters

Whatever ill betide

Then too, he'll find within him
